SACROILIAC JOINT INJECTION

The sacroiliac joint can be found at the end of the spine, where the sacrum joins the iliac bones. Pain originating from this joint typically presents as lower back and buttocks pain that radiates to the posterior upper thigh. If conservative options have failed to reduce symptoms, a patient can undergo a quick outpatient procedure, where we inject a small amount of anesthetic and anti-inflammatory into the joint in an effort to reduce inflammation and improve function.
