Independent Providers

The physicians, advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), and other licensed clinicians who provide medical services at Miami Wellness locations are independent licensed providers. They are not employees or agents of Miami Wellness.

How the Practice Is Structured

Miami Wellness operates the facilities and provides:

  • Administrative and scheduling services
  • Reception and patient intake services
  • Billing and insurance processing services
  • Medical equipment and supplies
  • Facility cleaning, maintenance, and compliance

The medical providers operating at Miami Wellness facilities are independent practitioners. They provide professional medical services through their own professional associations, professional corporations, or other licensed practice entities.

Clinical Responsibility

All medical care decisions, clinical judgments, and responsibility for treatment remain with the individual licensed provider. This includes diagnosis, treatment recommendations, prescribing decisions, medical record-keeping, and provider-patient communications.

Professional Liability

Each provider maintains their own professional liability (malpractice) insurance coverage independent of Miami Wellness.

Verifying Provider Credentials

You have the right to know your provider’s credentials and license status. You can verify any Florida-licensed healthcare provider through the Florida Department of Health:

Patient Rights

Regardless of the legal structure, you have the right to quality medical care, information about your providers, informed consent before any treatment, a clear understanding of who is providing your care, and to file a complaint with the Florida Department of Health if you have concerns.
