Thoracic or midback pain with and without radiation into the chest and abdomen is typically due to thoracic disk herniation and compression of a nerve. If a patient has failed physical therapy and conservative treatments, we can offer thoracic epidural injections. This outpatient, minimally invasive procedure involves injecting a small amount of anti-inflammatory into the epidural space in an effort to reduce inflammation and irritation and improve function and quality of life.
