Dr. Jose Fernandez is a double board-certified physician in interventional pain medicine and physiatry, specializing in the non-surgical treatment of chronic pain and spine disorders. With over 12 years of experience, he is dedicated to helping patients regain function and improve their quality of life through minimally invasive pain management techniques.
Dr. Fernandez completed medical school and anesthesiology training in Venezuela before advancing his clinical expertise in the internal medicine residency program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Jacobi Medical Center in New York City. He later pursued a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York Medical College-Metropolitan Hospital, where he served as chief resident. His specialized training in interventional pain medicine was completed at Larkin Hospital in Miami, FL.
